ollie is a very hard word to put "ing" on the end of it...
drop the E, add ing.
I after Y accept after C(or something liek that...)

all these rules are hard to follow when spelling this word! cus i know that you cant have 3 vowels in a row, so it definately can't be OLLIEING, and i dont think that its OLLIING so how do you guys spell it? when im just typing a trick tip for someone or something like that and not paying attention to my spelling, it just comes out. but when i think about it i cant spell it. how do ya spell it????

i wa going to put something, but it was wrong...that's a good question, how do you spell it?

Ollieing would be grammatically wrong...but ollying looks gay...and same with 'olly'. Let's think about this...the name 'ollie' is from 'Alen "Ollie"' right? Well....it would sound wrong if you said 'hey allen ollieing'...you can't do that to a name....Ollie might be a trick..but it's main use was his name. It would be wrong saying 'I was mrocking a stair' lol...although it does sound rather pimpish...Ollieing would probably be the best way to go though..because any other way sounds totally stupid.

If you want to say 'when ollieing stairs'...but don't want to spell it wrong..say...

'When you are about to ollie some stairs....'..etc...but I'd still stick with ollieing, it looks the best.

although ollieing is the only way it looks right i have to say that i dont completely agree with that... ya cant have 3 vowels in a row... unless its like 'queen" but thats different, cus ya can make that noise... but ya cant make an iei sound can ya? i guess that leaves ollying the right way to spell it.... its not like your saying olly your just changing the I to Y and adding ING...

lol...welcome Ramprage. Once again though, Allen "Ollie" is a noun...since it was his name, then they said "hey, I call this the ollie". Why would you change 'mrock' to 'mrocying' ?? If it makes anyone feel better 'ollie' isn't even in the dictionry, lol....so basically however you want, is correct...but screw grammar, cause no matter how you frickin' spell it, it's the same trick!!!!

ollie is a stupid word anyway, and mrock we woulding have a problem with your name because it doesn't ending a vowel, it would be mrocking, but thats beside the point, and now that i've definied that ollie is a stupid word, from now i'm calling it zion, i was zioning a couple stairs the other days and I..... there we go, it all works in my world, but from now on, it's zion in mine and can still be ollie in yours

lol. The issue isn't What the name of it is! The REAL name IS 'Ollie'. We are arguing what the correct *form* of it would be..that's all...but if you wanna change the name, no one can stop you.

Actually, there is one point I'd disagree with. Say that outloud; 'Ollie - ing' with one word...it sounds like you are a retarded sweedish *****....When you say it, you say 'ollieng' in a way....Anyways, I think this discussion pretty much settled how to spell it:

Ollieing
Ollie'ing (I prefer this way, so I at least recognize it is wrong)
Ollie-ing...or any other way you'd like.

kinda weird that someone would close things for no reason... being that theres no mods that would abuse the power and screw up the boards.... but they probably had a good reason if it was smeone like the guyskater or the turtle

I have closed a few things lately but not for "no reason", I have a good reason whenever I close or delete something. I (and the other mods) are like filters for the site. We throw out the junk and let the ood stuff stay.

If you have any questions about why I closed a certain topic then please post it here.

it is ollieing, because you can have 3 vowels together.
ex. seeing

easiest solution: Go to your Grammar teacher...explain WHAT an ollie is.....and that it is Someone's NAME...then just ask them.
