For street I'd go with a 7.5 deck. Trucks . . . I don't know, but I'm sure someone will answer that question for you. And as for wheels people have recommended 52mm or 53mm.
BTW: Welcome to RR and to skateboarding.

7.5 deck. Any mainstream trucks will do dont worry about their size un;ess there specially marked as wider wheelbase trucks. i would also say 52 or 53mm wheels.

hardware doesn't matter in anything exept strength, shorty's might not be the strongest, but they are guaranteed not to break.
bearings: i'm currently sporting bones reds, they're good; strong, fast, quiet, all the things bearings should be.

^dude HKD bearings blow. the bearing shield melted on mine and the bearing fell apart. also do not get bullet hardware. the box may say one inch for example, but all the bolts are a different length.

man, i hate threads like this. Size doesnt matter bro. Thin or wide, theyre both GOOD for street. Im usin' a 8.2 wide right now and its good. I usually use 7.63 wide and theyre good. Personal preference bro. Try out different crap and form an opinion for yourself.
