Who knows how to change a clip that has been made and edited in windows movie maker into some sort of file of which i can host?

Cant when u save click "Save as" and Change the file type at the bottom, i know u can with pics Movies should be along the same line

no you can not with videos, you have to get something to convert the file format. get something like sorenson squeeze. they have the new one sorenson squeeze 4 on the site as a trial and works fully.

I usally just open it up in vegas and rerender to wmv. It also has the sorenson option...but the quality goes down abit. just a bit boxey in places.

sorenson squeeze 4 is not an option it is a program. so its quite different from the option in vegas. also you wont loose much quality throught the program since vegas and others arnt the full vberison of sorenson.

So your saying the sorenson squeeze 4 program will give better results than rendering my vid at 512kbps in wmv? Cuz thats pretty crystal clear. or ya saying would reduced an 20min vid from 130megs to lower. either way im gonna stick with the vegas way...just asking.

sorenson squeeze is also a quicktime codec and a ****ing awesome one at that. The best for the web no doubt.

it will make a 20 min video abit less then 130megs, and also is quicktime considering windows media format is annoying as hell. and yes it is a codec, but this is a program by sorenson squeeze. it compresses footage for dvd and is amazing at doing so.

on movie maker go on "save as movie" this may just be on mm2 though...

On Ulead i just save as either :MPEG(1,2) WMV AVI and pretty much everything else. Its quite good.
