I'm planning on buying one tommorow (boxing day sales)

I need some reviews. Pretty much the companies I can choose from are:

Lamar
Premier
Surface (people say it sucks though, so its outta the picture)

Which one lasts the longest, and me being a noobie snowskater...which one should i get?

I personnaly don't own a snowskate, but from what I've heard, Premier are the best ones you could get.

What exactly is a snow skate, like a ski attached to your deck, or what?

Deffinately premier. i have a premier, and three of my friends have em. one of my friends has gotten like two different kinds and sold them on ebay, saying his premier was the best.

Snowdecks offer a more "skateboard-like" feeling though, since they've got trucks and a little snowboard under it so it's more like a skateboard.

they dont have trucks.

A snow deck is different to a snow skate, i did a search on google and like Snowboarder says they have trucks which attach to a second snow skate.

Yeah i know, snowboarder was saying if you want a more skateboard-like feeling then you should get a snow deck.

I would but snow here lasts at most two days then it completely goes.....except in the bowl where it stays for ages.

Yeah i was just thinking about it...They look cool but i just realized..we barely get snow here..and when we do..its only like 1 inch-5inches..not enough because if i wipe out, my brain is going to keep rolling down the hill even when i stop.

Dammit Sherwin don't talk about the sun, the bloody thing hasn't been in Newcastle for weeks, i've been skating flat ground again and again and i've been caught by the same cop 3 times, it's not fair.

you only need like 1mm of snow/ice to snowskate, anything more then that (if its not patted down) is to deep for single snowskates.

I had like 1/2mm of ice left on my apartment frontyard and the snowskating was still tight.

you only need like 0 mm of snow/ice to skate. anything more than that is to deep for skateboards.

i had like 0mm of ice on my house frontyard and skateboarding was still tight. ha.

if you're having some trouble with snowskating i direct you to premier's website. premier (to my knowledge) came out with the first snowskate, and they know what they're talking about. here's a link to their trick tips forum
