View Full Version : My sob story (angst inside)

so, my life was already pretty lame
i'm no dumb kid, i just haven't been motivated to keep my grades to decent levels
and i am supposed to have my driver's license already, but my father is never available to help me learn to drive
and my girlfriend, the only person i've ever remotely cared about, has been grounded since before we started going out a little over four months ago. she hasnt spent time with any friends since before school started, except for one or two occasions
her mother is a witch.
and my friends with vehicles almost never have time for me, and i cant just walk somewhere
because i live 5 miles from anything
among other silly physical/mental/creative blocks
so i've been kinda stuck for the past few months
then my girlfriend blindsides me with this:
her mother attacked her or something(she didnt give me details, she was kinda broken up about everything)
and her family problems have gotten to the point where she has to leave or something
and she said she might not ever see me again
thats it, no goodbyes, no "call me"(in fact, she said not to), nothing
so i'm sitting here, worried to death about her
and i wont know anything until monday, if she shows up at school. otherwise, everything is done, just like that
quite surreal, to say the least
i REALLY need to go skate and get my mind off of this until i can be told something, but it's very wet on my street and still raining, where i skate if i'm desperate
(there is still a chance a friend with a ride can empathize with me, so i'm hoping...)
also, my work for makeshift has had to take a backseat to this and other recent events
i'm sorry
i hope i can get some photos taken soon

Dude seriously listen to muzz about school but if you want to get away from it all, read some books, watch some videos, Skate in the rain if you have to to, or in your room, another thing I do to keep my mind off things is YO-YO, believe me it works, its a lot like kating, there challenging new tricks you can have lines etc. Just sit back and relax and think about the good things in life even if you don't feel there are any.

That really sucks, I live like on the other side of town from where my school is...so all my friends live pretty much within a 2 mile radius of one-another and I live like 20 miles away from them. And isince im 14 I cant be out that late and all that jazz so its hard keeping a social life going cuase it takes so much effort for me to actually go and do stuff with my friends.
Skating and Snowskating help though

did you ever think of the idea that suffering is relative ?
because using your logic, you shouldnt have a reason to ever be sad in your lifetime.
here in the real world, people's personal struggles mean something to them, and this is as bad as it has been for me
so close the topic or whatever if you're against it

Goodpoint, then think about not only their suffering but also how the media and organizations supposed to be helping them are actually capitalizing from their sufferings. This deserves a new thread just on the occurances in asia.

That sucks man, I kinda went through the same thing when I was in highschool. I had a gf and I though she was the world, and the only thing I could count on, then she dumped me. Don't worry about girls man especially at your age. A girl like that probabaly has mass problems and problems have a mysterious way of attracting more problems, so dont let her get to you.
I got bad grades when I was younger as well and it comes down to other problems in your life. I am a phychology major right now and know that the reason kids get bad grades is because of other problems not because they are lazy or dumb usually. Just try and take life alittle less seriously.

whatever man, im just saying your life could be a lot worse. i know i'm coming off an asshole, but i'm not trying to be. i've been in shit like you're in before. no motivation for school, having to bum rides off everyone, your friends ditching you. it gets better man. just keep your head up and you'll eventually get everything straightened out. it may take awhile, but once it is, it'll be worth it.
and take some of glimmer's advice too, once in a while, when it seems like life's at it's lowest, you just gotta laugh. at something stupid, but laughing helps a lot. if you keep taking life this serious you'll be six feet under before the end of highschool. and nobody wants that. jsut find something smilly and laugh at it.
sorry for being a dick about this, i've been going through some shit lately too.

School is SOOOOOO important. Forget the girl, unless ur gonna give it ur all. Personally @ ur age, I really don't thonk thats possible/worth it & it'll just screw u up more.
Forget about her & study hard. Can u skate @ school? Maybe there's a youth centre around u can skate in?
Put ur stresses into something constructive.

ahaha how old are you that you can say "personally @ ur age, i really don't thonk thats possible/worth it..." and mean it with spelling like that?

i feel you bro. I've been bummin' rides off friends for a while now cuz i live 5 miles from everyone. I shoulda got my liscence like back in May but my mom's been procrastinating. I can drive better than alot of my friends who already drive so its all up to whenever i go to the dmv... But with your case, just put it out in front of your pops. Tell him u really need to drive.
with ure girl man, that sucks. She's put you in a position where you can't really help her out. I know that feeling bro. I've been there. There's nothing you can really do, cuz I tried callin' my ex when she was having problems but ended up pissing her off, and she isn't exactly cute when she's pissed.
With your situation with skating. Find another outlet. Like what everyone else said. Yo-yo, reading, etc.

''cut my life into piecies, this is my rasberry tort, sufication, no breathing, dont give a **** if i cut my arm bleeding'' ahahahahah eeeeh.
Dont worry man, everyone has a shit spell everynow and again. Seems like everything happens all at once. Dont just sit around brewing up all your pissed offness. I bet if you get out somwhere with your mates evrything will be be mint. Just phone them up and ask them if they're up for a night on the hoy, one good night and everything is in perspective.

Force of habit to type like that on the net, did I really type thonk? :o
Do I have to be a certain age to state my opinion? I don't know how old u r & u don't even know me man.
I'm prolly older than u & have been through a lot. I was just giving him some empathy.

No, he's 'teasing' you because you can't spell and come across as if you have the mental age of a ten year old.
I've been through bad times...not as bad as that but all i can say is try to do something to take your mind of it, if you can't skate find something else to do.

dude all love and that has to do with is maturity level. would you guys stop *****ing about everytime someone disagress with you... god..
anyways.. i'm sorry about that man.. the ONLY and i mean this, the ONLY person that can help you is you. YOU have to find it in yourself to do whatever you want to do, and anything you want to do is in your grasp if you want it enough and work hard enough. if you let school get away from you, don't expect a good job. that's just how it is... take Mrock for example. he knows he wants to go to college and what for... and how to pay? well... he decided the army would be the best way to pay for school, and just the experiance. every person has a different path. you have to make something of yourself...

I'm sorry about your situation, but you can't let a girl break your heart. Focus on your studies, which are more important, and sooner or later you'll find another girl. Or who knows maybe this girl will come back, and everything will go back to being better.

Go with classic rock...listen the both albums of The Who: Quadrophenia, and just don't think. Quadrophenia is like a musical, it's a play, acted out in songs, without actors or anything. Really Rad.

you're obviously not old enough to get a license if you're still hung up on that whole "skater/punk and prep" thing. that shit gets old after 8th grade.
