My 512mb MP3 Player arrived from eBay yesterday. I bought it with my xmas money for £35. Its great. Any one got a MP3 or an iPod? post your thoughts/comments.

I have a 20gb IPod. Its great. I love it. I heard they're making a IPod mini with a camera..i know that the 60gb Ipod is a camera IPod.

I dont like the mini Ipod much though. Its only 4gb. My 20gb Ipod holds 5,000 songs so im guessing the mini ipod holds 1000 songs.

the battery will eventually die because it's recahrgeable. you can buy a new one, or send it back to apple and they'll put one in for you. not saying, it will only last 18 months, not saying it will. im jsut sayin

and i'm thinking about getting an ipod or an iriver or a zen jukebox. i've just gotta get the money up and then compare and contrast.

and the craze over ipod minis are just moronic. everyone thinks that just cause it comes in colors makes it better. 4 gigs and only fifty bucks cheaper than a 20 gig, that's just a bunch of crap right there.

I have 50GB I-RIVER and its amazing cos it can fit 15,000 songs on and i have something like 40GB left to fill.

I have a Sony NW-HD1. 20 gigs of song space, amazing sound quality, software sucks and all songs need to be converted to .OM4 or whatever sony's stuff is... but the 30 hours of battery life makes up for that. Yeh... 30 HOURS SUCKAS.

you do realize it's not a camera, just a photoviewer. Anyway, i've broken two ipods in the last 6 months (Not from skating, they just broke) and i am sick as shit of apples bullshit, so i got the new iRiver 320 and it is infinetly better than the ipod. iPods are overhyped peices of bullshit that and way overpriced for what it can do. Do you realize that the iRiver has a photoviewer, FM radio, MICROPHONE for recording your own voice and a color screen and all for less money!? Also, they have stopped selling replacement plans for iPods at Best Buy Electronics because they have so many come in broken with dissatisfied owners? Try the iRiver, it's better.

ive had this old philips nike psa[128 mp3 for a couple years now. Its still good, but the LCD thing got ****ed up so u have no way of knowing how much battery is left, or what song is playing. The software cd got cracked so... I can't get songs off my new computer. :(

I'm planning to get a philips hdd series mp3 player. Holds as much as ipod but cheaper.

I thought you could just plug it in and charge it up. My brother has had is longer than 18 months and it works perfectly and its the same 20gb as mine.

Yeah, most mp3 players work off internal battaries that a rechargable, as with all rechargable battaries the more you charge them the less time the last till the next charge and eventually (I culd go find the amount of charge cycles it can handle off the apple website cause they even admit it will die) it will just give up. The problem is that on an Ipod and other players the battary is built into the thing meaning you cant simply replace it, you have to send it off to orange who take your Pod apart and but a new battary in, going rate last time i checked their site was about £99 for a battary change. Which is like half the price of a 20g pod anyway. Ya see i had the money to buy and Pod but got a creative because; It's 30gig and cheaper. But mainly because the battary is easily removable and you can buy spares for £10-£15.

Oh yeah... my alpine headunit (CDA-9812RB) plays CDs, MP3 CDs, and I have it hooked up so I can plug in anything with a headphone jack and send it through the auxilary CD Changer. Ipods, Mp3 players... bring it in my car and play it. Sweet.

The first one just died. It turned on and off, but the click wheel didn't work and it wouldn't play songs, and even back when it did "work" it would shut off unexpectdly. The second one would play, but also shut off unexpectedly. I only had the second for three months, but the battery died on my bus drive to school (about an hour). It's usually around 18 months when they die, not 3 months, even if you charged it every day, it shouldn't after 3 months.

My sister just bought an iPod mini and I think she got screwed. This shit is so ****ing expensive and you don't have anything more than a cheap CD Player and a burner can give you. Plus I just saw the "Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra 30GB " for 350CAD, wich is like...285USD...it may be a mistake on the site but look for yourself: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dept=0&sku_id=0665000FS10036456&catid=&newdeptid=19 .
