Try a switch front lip on a double kink is the best way to get better.

Take a lesson or two. And, buy yourself the cheapest beginner equipment you can find, avoid using rentals at all costs (For $200 you should be able to find a used foamcore plank, shitty bindings, and decent boots).

Oh yeah, and when you're starting, the boots matter more than any other piece of equipment. Get boots that fit tight and snug, and comfortably. Fit and comfort is more important than brand or stiffness, or anything for that matter, when you're starting. NEVER, EVER EVER EVER, use rental boots.

The most annoying thing in the world, that totally prevents people from learning, is loose boots that don't fit properly.
