why did the OLD site disappeared?

why did the OLD site disappeared? and also the old message board. the seems to be strange???

To sum up it was basicly because my old web host dissapeared and we lost the entire message board and a good part of the site (content) because I didn't have recent backups. I had already starting planning for the new version before the host disappeared but that just made things a little worse.

The old forum didn't use a database, this new one does so it's easier to backup, customize, etc.

I would have wasted time trying to put up the old site again because it wasn't really setup properly (that's why I'm creating version 3). The old site ran on all kinds of different scripts which were a pain to setup and needed a linux web host, I move to a windows host plus setting up a cgi script is a real pain, each file has to have proper permissions, etc etc, which makes it a real mess.

So version 3 will be released this weekend, April 27 but only the skateboard section for now. The rest of the site is coming as soon as I get the content back in order because all the programming work is finished as of this morning :)
