It seems that Plan B will be releasing their own footwear in the near future as seen here. It’s interesting that the design of these very closely resemble another company’s foundation shoe and who are just taking the plunge into the skate market. Who will end up on top? Time will tell.

I used to like them before they added Ryan Sheckler and before they came up with these weird ideas. I like teams that aren't basically looking just like the New York Yankees. If you know what I mean. And I know you're from NY Skizzate so don't take that in a bad way hahaAlso... This just in from RVCA: Raymond Molinar and RVCA have officially parted ways. Raymond is a great skateboarder and an amazing person. We wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors.

Birdhouse Departs from Blitz, Baker Remains
Don’t believe all the rumors. “Baker is staying with Blitz”, says the Boss, Andrew Reynolds. At the same time, Blitz Distribution announces that after a 15-year partnership, Birdhouse will no longer be distributed by the group. Per Welinder, the President of Blitz is in the middle of talks to a couple of well established brands to bring them into the Blitz stable. He cites, “In this tough economic climate it can be a good time to bring new things to the table for the shops and the skate community and we are hopeful to make announcements about new brands for Blitz to offer in the very near future.”

Hmm makes you wonder, how many people do you think are going to leave their shoe sponsors on Plan B and be a part of the Plan B shoes? It's kind of like the same BS that Element did.

Wow. Lets have pro model shoes then say **** it. Thats rediculous, Rodgers is garbage. Most of the team have such reputible brands and have been with them for so long, I couldn't imagine them leaving to go to those shoes.

Jereme Rogers and Guru Khalsa have both left DVS.
Mike Barker left Element awhile ago and now rides for Hype skateboards. Andrew Allen has achieved pro status at Anti-Hero. Robbie Russo is part of the DVS squad. If you think you have kickflips on lock, think again. Fourteen year old Zack Kral recently set a new record for 1,546 kickflips consecutively at 4 seasons skatepark in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Skateboarder has a chance to sue Baltimore police officer for assault. Everyone has seen the now famous clip on youtube of Eric Bush getting pushed around by Baltimore cop, Salvatore Rivieri, for skating. A judge has ruled that Eric Bush will have the option to sue the police officer.

Jessup Griptape just send us the news that Eric Koston has been added to the team. Here’s the official press release below:
2/17/09—Chicago based Jessup Manufacturing is proud to announce the addition of skateboard icon Eric Koston to it’s pro team. Jessup Manufacturing has been producing premium skateboard specific griptape since 1975. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA, Koston hails from San Bernardino, California. Known for his technical wizardry and fearlessness, Koston is one of the most loved skaters of all time. Eric is currently a part of the Girl skateboard team and is also the founder of Fourstar clothing. Eric Koston first began skateboarding at age 11. By the age of 18, Eric had stacked enough skills to turn pro, moving to San Diego to join the now legendary H-Street team in 1991. Shortly thereafter, Koston’s talents were recognized by skate legend and industry icon, Natas Kaupus, who convinced Koston to move to Los Angeles and join the 101 team. On 101, Koston established himself as a leading switchstance skateboarder - pioneering such technical tricks as the nollie flip noseslide and the switch kickflip backside tailslide. Of legend, Eric Koston landed a switch 360 flip down the Embarcadero 7 during his part in 101’s 1993 video, cementing himself as one of the most technically advanced skateboarders of his time. Koston’s stance is goofy, but he is known for his ability to skate switch. Known for his technical skill and fearless commitment, Koston is known to create new tricks at any given moment, on the streets, or in competition. He is also known for commercializing the competitive, HORSE-derivative, game of S.K.A.T.E. Koston has won numerous skateboard contests including; X-games, Gravity Games, Slam City Jam and the notorious Tamp Pro. Koston has also been voted Skater of the Year. Koston currently rides for Girl skateboards, Lakai shoes, Fourstar clothing, and Independent trucks. Koston had this to say about the new relationship “I have been skating on Jessup grip since I was a kid, it has always been the best grip. I am stoked to be on the team.” *from skateboarding.com

So peep the gallery of all the Aussie madness and peep Slam’s site for more covey. Congrats Brophy!

in a slap to the face of the world of downhill skateboarding, danny way skitched his way to a guiness world record last night on a LONG board with a spoiler. way hit 74 miles per hour while being towed by a little grasshopper-looking go-kart thing on MTV's "rob dyrdek's fantasy factory." the old record of 53mph was broken in 1998 by the late gary hardwicke, and set at 68mph. since 1998 many racers have broken 53mph, as well as 68mph. and, in the past few years, there have been many record attempts with speeds exceeding way's 74mph. the current unofficial record stands at 78mph, but with guiness's screwy record system, it hasn't ever been "officialized"
