ok so i was out skating for a lil over an hour and i was trying to ollie. which i did by the way!! WOO! but anyway, when i got back i noticed that only one side of the tail of my board started to get razor tail. now i havnet had this deck but like 2 weeks. and i cant stop the board by draging the tail, so thats not the reason.
is it normal for on side of the tail to razor and the other to not? i know i got my foot hanging off that one side but thats what feels right, should i be pushing it down right in the middle instead? |

yes i know that. but what im saying is that it is only razor tail on one side of the tail. like only on the heel side of the tail. its not razor tailing at all on the toe side of the tail. and its all the way through 5 layers! i only got 2 layers of wood left there!
am i doing something wrong? i dont want my board to get screwed up already. oh and its an AWS if that helps |

Yea, when you ollie your tail smackes the ground, and over time your tail will start to fade away. It's all how you ollie, but dont try to change it it deosn't matter that much.

your popping your tricks alittle crooked. some people just do it. and the tricks you do make it like that. if your doing alot of tre flips, bs shoves, bs 180s, bs bigspins and stuff like that then it will all be on the toeside of the tail. oh and as long as your skatin the board fine then just keep skatin it.

Its pretty normal and doesnt really affect ur skating too much. Just keep it out of the rain and dont drag any of the board exept when u ollie and it will last

It's funny because most of the people in this thread didn't take time to understand what you said and shitted out a useless answer. Try to evenly distribute your weight over your board when you do tricks and pop the tail in the middle or toe side more often.

ok thanks! thats what i thought too about the putting more weight in the middle. and actually my ollies got higher and i landed them more often too. when i was doing it to one side my front foot would land on the board but my back would land off to one side.
in my pursuit of doing an ollie i actually almost landed a pop shuvit! i landed the front foot on the tail after it spun around to now being the nose and i just barely missed the back foot! so yeah i just need to put more weight on the middle of the tail. |
