Yea i can't do them regular either, i just use same foot stance as a switch fs shove except have my front foot 1 inch closer to my back foot and just wind up a bunch and pop that shit fresh.

people are actually advising people to pivot? why wouldnt you actually want to learn the full trick? seems pretty weird to me, especially if you ever want to do them on anything but flatground with little speed.

otherwise you're pivoting/reverting (learn the difference if you don't) 270 degrees.. which alone is probably harder than just learning the trick.

You obviously don't know what a bigspin is. Logan is correct in the degrees he said. A big spin is a shuv-it with a 180 in whichever direction the shuv-it is going.

fyi i can do every variation of bigspin, regular, switch, nollie, fakie except regular f/s bigspins and btw don't describe bigspins as a 'shuv-it with a 180..' it's a 360 shuv with a body varial o_o. damn, you get shit on in nyc if you said shit like that.

Really whether or not its a 360 shov body varial or pop shuvy 180, all depends on how the individual appraches the trick. Im sure some people try to pop say a frontside 360 bigspin and turn 180 frontside in which case it looks similer to the idea of popping a fs shove while turneing your shoulders. Personally what i do for switch front biggies, is i pop my switch fs shuv high, and begin turning right away so at the apex of my pop im about 90 degress, and my board has gone 270 degrees, then on the descent i just slide that extra 90 in with my shoulders and hips (kinda like the shifty motion that you can super exaggerate in skate). No pivoting necessary.

ha ha, ill have to go with Juwana on this one. you cant think of it as 3 shuv with a body varial cause if you body varial the wrong way its not a big spin. a 3 shuv body varial is a totally different trick
