I survived Wakestock 2008 should have been the t-shirt slogans for the event. It kicked off Saturday with a ferry ride from downtown Toronto to Center Island with a boat load of drunks with their beer in Tim Hortons cups, mickey's and other stuff your mom and dad never want to see you doing!

We arrived at the island to have it start raining before the skate contest and it didn't let up. It was a like a hurricane was hitting the island, branches flying off, huge lighting cracks over our heads, everyone ran to the little tents for any kind of shelter. We all did a rain dance and about an hour or two later the sun came out and didn't dry up all the rain.

PUDDLES, more like LAKES in the middle of the grassy green area's and walkways through vendors. People started to bodyslide in them! The Monster Engergy girls came out and seemed to get everyone back in a good mood, tasty!

Not long after it turned into a soupy mess and your sandles or shoes would get sucked down so hard you couldn't move and had to completely remove your shoes, yuck. Then it started to smell like dirty mud and something had died in it... gross.

The smart guys covered up the skate course with giant tarps so the contest didn't start to long after the rain. First off was a warm up sesh' and to help dry the ramps, guys were givin' it! I managed to get some photos of the contest on Saturday, hope you enjoy em!

Well done guys, some sweet skating indeed! If you were at the event you might of spoted me wearing the Ramprage.com t-shirt!

Sunday the Moto-X guys came out and started to sesh' their crazy truck jumps. These guys are nuts, most of them were just wearing a t-shirt or none at all. Props to them for putting on a kick ass show.


I ended up missing a bunch of the Wakeboard finals so I didn't get many photos, schedules of things got screwed up because of the rain.

It was an epic 2 days, I'm definately gonna attend next year, altought I'm gonna pack an umbrella just incase! That's it for now, hope to see you guys next year!
